Subway Tea Party

To celebrate the 100th Birthday of the NYC Subway, I joined a bunch of good people (including Jason Kottke and Eliot Shepard) to recreate an early 20th century tea party inside a vintage subway car that was running on the NRW lines today. The party became most amusing when we stopped at major stations like Times Square and 34th Street -- and bypassers would unknowingly dazzle us with their bewildered looks.

Also, I am now addicted to cucumber sandwiches.

See some snaps I took.

What a great idea for an outing, and the photos make it look as though it was a real hoot. And wait 'til you try watercress sandwiches; then you've really "arrived".

Hi, I'm Zach. I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Wake Forest. After college, I moved to Manhattan to get serious about a company I ran with friends. We sold it to Barry Diller's InterActiveCorp in 2006. I just wrapped up with a project I co-founded called Vimeo and left CV to focus on being a twenty-five year old.

I have another blog called Copy and Taste, where I post about learning to cook.

I live in Brooklyn now.
