The Arcade Fire
I have been waiting since last September, and finally I saw The Arcade Fire last night at Webster Hall. I even toted my cumbersome camerabag along for what I expected to be a great night of shooting -- and it should have been! -- but unfortunately I didn't realize until too late that the body of my camera wasn't inside my bag. :( I was stuck lugging around my lens all night.

I didn't get any pics, but others did.

I really enjoyed myself. Singing outloud in unison with everyone else at a show never seemed as fun. The Arcade Fire's music is conducive for spontaneous audience choirs with their vareity of soprano "Wooo wooo's" and "Ahhhh ahhhh's". I was also very impressed with the openers Man Man and Final Fantasy. I am desperately seeking the latter's EP, but I can't find much about him online. Any leads would be appreciated.

The music was great, but really, the only thing I can't stop thinking about is Webster Hall's light kit. They provided the most visually arresting display and are unlike any other stage lights I have ever seen. I am wondering whether they are proprietary, because I would like to find their source and perhaps get a set for our living room. I would never leave the house. Again, any details would be helpful.

That's awesome that they rock live. They were just announced to play Coachella here on the left coast, so I look forward to seeing them soon. I believe a friend of mine at Universal has a Final Fantasy CD, he was raving about it last week. If I can mingle my hands on it, I will drop a line.

They're playing here in Portland on the 10th. You've convinced me to make attend.

I remembered you mentioning them way back when on the invite to the house opening and I looked the band up. Now they are everywhere especially getting good magazine press. You should come to Coachella--like someone mentioned they will be there with 90 other hot talents for a two day festival of fantastic music.

Hi, I'm Zach. I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Wake Forest. After college, I moved to Manhattan to get serious about a company I ran with friends. We sold it to Barry Diller's InterActiveCorp in 2006. I just wrapped up with a project I co-founded called Vimeo and left CV to focus on being a twenty-five year old.

I have another blog called Copy and Taste, where I post about learning to cook.

I live in Brooklyn now.
