Jakob and I will be presenting Vimeo, a site we made together in our spare time, tomorrow night at the New York Tech Meetup. Please join us!

Vimeo is a site for organizing and sharing personal video clips. You can assemble any variety of clips together to make Automatic Movies. For instance, here is an Automatic Movie about funny things. Our system gathers all clips which users have tagged as funny, and plays them for you. This one shows all clips I have shared. Additionally, Nick uploaded some great clips from his recent travels to India.

We are presently in closed beta, so you can't add your own clips yet. During this time we are just working out the kinks. Play with it for a bit, and let me know what you think and experience.

P.S. Vimeo was a Yahoo! New and Notable site today!

This guy made me laugh really hard. Very passionate about his metadata.

I really love the background music on the Auto Movies, it really consolidates the clips.

I think this is an awesome idea and something that has an amazing potential.

How would one go about contacting you if I was interested in helping with the site's developement. (On a developer's end)

Good luck!

I am glad you like!

Dominic, email me. Perhaps there are bits of backend work we could outsource.

Hi, I'm Zach. I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Wake Forest. After college, I moved to Manhattan to get serious about a company I ran with friends. We sold it to Barry Diller's InterActiveCorp in 2006. I just wrapped up with a project I co-founded called Vimeo and left CV to focus on being a twenty-five year old.

I have another blog called Copy and Taste, where I post about learning to cook.

I live in Brooklyn now.
