When testing with IE, i recommend: ieHTTPHeaders: see http headers being passed http://www.blunck.info/iehttpheaders.html IEDocMon: View the DOM of your current page http://www.cheztabor.com/IEDocMon/ Full Source: View the whole rendered page (even JS rendered html) http://www.thundermain.com/FullSource.html Does firefox have the equals of these? I would like to know. 11:26 AM Tiffany said... I'm not sure about all that, but I love firefox. It actually shows you what things look like. 1:16 PM franz said... Pete: The DOM Inspector does the same thing IEDocMon seems to do. As for the HTTP headers.. The extension Zack linked to gives you the server's response headers. I haven't used that particular feature much though, it's a little clumsy. I've been using this extension for some time now, and it does pretty much everything.. I like it for debugging complex CSS layouts. 1:46 PM tamara said... It's a nice plug-in, but doesn't it open the door easily for someone else to steal you site design? 12:15 PM Zach said... Yep! ... It's fine with me, as long as it means the Web will be overall better-designed! 2:22 PM Post a Comment |

![]() Hi, I'm Zach. I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Wake Forest. After college, I moved to Manhattan to get serious about a company I ran with friends. We sold it to Barry Diller's InterActiveCorp in 2006. I just wrapped up with a project I co-founded called Vimeo and left CV to focus on being a twenty-five year old. I have another blog called Copy and Taste, where I post about learning to cook. I live in Brooklyn now.
