I like Hunter Mountain (trail map) mostly because it is so close. Blades offers an almost-daily bus service from two spots in Manhattan. The less-than-2-hour ride costs only $45, which includes your lift ticket, and a bagel & movie during the trip up.I will try to go every other weekend.
