When marketing a product, there are only 5 questions that consumers want answered. Will it ... ?
1. Make me wealthy
2. Improve my appearance
3. Help me to be more well-liked by family or friends
4. Make me live longer
5. Get me laid more often

What about, "Will it provide entertainment?" ie - ipods and playstations, etc.

Will, good point. I have been wondering about it, thinking that maybe "Entertainment" is a subset of one of those 5. Maybe Entertainment makes us happier or excited, in turn making us more well-liked? Seems like a stretch. You should post that question on the Marketing Genius' thread and see what he thinks.

Pavla, turns out I already have something going on Thursday. Which stinks, because when it rains it pours: There aren't very many good shows in the coming weeks, but this Thurs Teitur and Ambulance LTD are playing at two different venues. BUT! Elbow is playing at the Hiro Ballroom on Nov 3. I have an extra ticket if you would like to go with me. If you haven't heard of them, email me, and I will send you a song.

Hi, I'm Zach. I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Wake Forest. After college, I moved to Manhattan to get serious about a company I ran with friends. We sold it to Barry Diller's InterActiveCorp in 2006. I just wrapped up with a project I co-founded called Vimeo and left CV to focus on being a twenty-five year old.

I have another blog called Copy and Taste, where I post about learning to cook.

I live in Brooklyn now.
