I'm thinking that with the popularity of Curbed that there might also be a demand for 'renovation blogs' in New York. Perhaps I was shortsighted to use a Yahoo group to deliver updates to those interested -- I'm thinking now that I should convert our construction notes into posts for USA's own diary.(My inspiration is Barcade's visual tour of their construction). 4

Zach -- You've got photos, video clips, weekend emails... It screams blog material. Great idea. Setup a quickie blog for the USA site and dump some content over. And if you had bought the property, the blog could actually be considered an asset! 4:19 PM jeff said... yeah that barcade site is rad. and the bar itself looks cool, too. i say go for it. you've already got the domain. you can also maintain a mailing list in addition to the blog... 5:18 PM said... There's also a local renovation blog and photo diary of the rehabilitation of a South Brooklyn row house: My Old House. 9:02 PM Post a Comment |

![]() Hi, I'm Zach. I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Wake Forest. After college, I moved to Manhattan to get serious about a company I ran with friends. We sold it to Barry Diller's InterActiveCorp in 2006. I just wrapped up with a project I co-founded called Vimeo and left CV to focus on being a twenty-five year old. I have another blog called Copy and Taste, where I post about learning to cook. I live in Brooklyn now.
