Sidekick 3

I returned my Motorola Q today for a full refund. The lackluster Windows Mobile software + Verizon's astronomical monthly rates turned me off. I kept my T-Mobile service just in case I wanted to switch back -- good thing too because the Danger Sidekick 3 comes out July 10th and it may be just what I am looking for: An even better version of the Danger OS, which in my opinion has yet to be rivaled since its release in 2002. The new Sidekick features a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, SD card slot, built-in mp4 player and integrated AIM/MSN/Yahoo Messengers. Daily updates here.

Dude, you need to move to Japan. You'd eat it up. Every phone there has all these features already, with much better cameras.

I returned my Q also. I think you were dead-on about the lackluster windows mobile software. I was especially disapointed with Outlook, and that it doesn't play nice with my macs.

Too bad the SKIII won't play video.

Win Mobile really blows... the phone part of it has no intelligence to it whatsover... No "favorite friends"... yell, half the time, either the phone accidently dials people or I can't figure out how to pick it up. Still, I need a phone that works on an Exchange server for work but has the slide out, two thumb keyboard. Sidekick's integration with exchange and the calendar is cludgey.

Why not T-Mobile's MDA? Same Windows Mobile issue, but there's a lot more under the hood. WiFi, Bluetooth, and similar messaging capabilities. Pocket Mac is a nice way to synch the two.

Hi, I'm Zach. I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Wake Forest. After college, I moved to Manhattan to get serious about a company I ran with friends. We sold it to Barry Diller's InterActiveCorp in 2006. I just wrapped up with a project I co-founded called Vimeo and left CV to focus on being a twenty-five year old.

I have another blog called Copy and Taste, where I post about learning to cook.

I live in Brooklyn now.
