Notes from Life at Connected Ventures
Tonight we're having a company party at a tacky ethnic restaurant to celebrate the IAC deal. An hour ago, I called our contact there to confirm that there would be music. He replied, "Top 40, obviously".

Excited by the news, we turned the dial to Third Eye Blind and turned the speakers loud. A dance party erupted and in the excitement, Jakob grabbed Ricky's prized Shaq cardboard standup and began to thrash it into a group of us dancers. At this moment, Ricky walked in and saw Shaq ripped and slumped on the floor. Jake immediately blamed Shaq, and then the group of us. BUT, unbeknownst to any of us, Kunal had recorded the entire scene and THIS CLIP SURFACED!

Now, Ricky has taken something prized by Jakob and locked it in his safe until Jakob finds him a new Shaq standup. THE DRAMA IS OVERWHELMING.

Shaq sucks. He deserved a well-staged mob thrashing!

No worries. He can afford to buy another one. Congrats!

Hi, I'm Zach. I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Wake Forest. After college, I moved to Manhattan to get serious about a company I ran with friends. We sold it to Barry Diller's InterActiveCorp in 2006. I just wrapped up with a project I co-founded called Vimeo and left CV to focus on being a twenty-five year old.

I have another blog called Copy and Taste, where I post about learning to cook.

I live in Brooklyn now.
